1. Consultation & Planning

2. Pre-Op Preparation
Attend a pre-admission clinic, complete necessary tests, and follow instructions on fasting, hygiene, and medications (e.g., stopping blood thinners). Recommended lifestyle changes and smokers to stop smoking prior to the surgery.
3. Day of Surgery
Arrive early for assessments. If needed, additional procedures such as hookwire localization or lymphatic mapping may be performed just before surgery. The surgical team will guide you through the process.
4. Recovery & Follow-Up
Recovery includes managing pain, monitoring for complications, and gradually resuming activities. You’ll have follow-up visits to check healing and discuss next steps like further reconstruction or cosmetic adjustments.
